To make content accessible to more people
At Prenly, we believe that great content should reach everyone – regardless of their circumstances. That’s why accessibility isn’t an add-on for us. It’s a given.

What is WCAG and why is it important?
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are international guidelines for making digital content accessible to people with disabilities. The goal is to ensure that everyone – regardless of vision, hearing, mobility, or cognitive ability – can access content equally.

Prenly meets accessibility standards
With Prenly, you can feel confident that your publishing complies with WCAG 2.1, EU directives, and Swedish law. For us, accessibility is about more than regulations – it’s part of our mission: to make important information accessible to more people.
Structured code and semanticsOur platform is built on proper HTML and ARIA roles to ensure that screen readers and assistive technologies can interpret the content correctly.
Contrast and colorsWe ensure that color choices and contrast meet at least WCAG level AA – so that content remains readable even for users with visual impairments or color blindness.
Customizable reading experienceReaders can adjust text size, color theme, and contrast – and switch between different reading modes in the app. This creates a personalized and accessible experience.
Keyboard navigationOur solution works fully with keyboard navigation, which is essential for many users who cannot or prefer not to use a mouse or touchscreen.
Accessible appsOur iOS and Android apps follow the platforms' accessibility standards and are compatible with VoiceOver, TalkBack, and other assistive tools.
Audio and text – togetherPodcasts, articles, and other media are combined with text descriptions where relevant – allowing more people to access the content in their preferred format.
Accessibility as a foundation, not a feature
Accessibility isn’t just a checkbox for us. It’s part of our core.
From the very beginning, we’ve built technology to include more people – from the world’s first digital newspaper for the visually impaired to today’s platforms. Prenly is built on this very principle: that what matters should be accessible at the right time, for everyone.
